Parents and Friends Association

St Peter Chanel is fortunate to have an active Parents and Friends Association which plays a key role in the successful operation of the school. Parents have traditionally supported the school by providing, through the Association, assistance with finance necessary for many school and classroom facilities. These finances are raised through an annual levy and various fundraising events held throughout the year.

The Parents and Friends' major fund-raising event alternates each year between a themed Dinner Dance or Fete. 'James Bond', 'Destination Unknown', 'Hollywood', 'Grease', 'International Food Festival' to name a few of the functions, have all been extremely successful.  In 2016 a very successful Dinner Dance was held and it revolved around a Golden Globes theme. This enjoyable red carpet evening saw members of our community dressed to the nines as their favourite Golden Globes nominee. The next Dinner Dance is likely to be held in 2018.

The St Peter Chanel Family, Food and Fun Festival, held on Sunday, July 30, was the focus for this year's fete. This much anticipated event brings together The Gap community and surrounding suburbs and raises much valued funds to support the school community.

Each year the St Peter Chanel Parents and Friends Association organise many events to bring the school and local community together. Once a month on a Friday afternoon, from 2.30 - 3.30pm, Cafe Chanel is held.  A visiting coffee van is on hand to provide the perfect coffees to compliment the wonderful array of sweets provided by the parents from different year levels each month. This has proven to be a fantastic way for parents, new and old, to get together in a relaxed environment whilst the children play.
